Petersfield Fringe Festival Raises £1,516

The curtains have closed on the very first Petersfield Fringe Festival, and the reviews are in: it was an unqualified success. Held over three days at the picturesque Churcher's College, the event featured a dazzling array of talent, all in aid of the local Rosemary Foundation and devised and run by by Entertainment Events.

From classic Agatha Christie Radio Productions presented from an authentic 1950’s BBC Studio to fresh, never-before-seen material, the festival brought a kaleidoscope of outstanding theatrical performances to the eager audience. The sheer diversity of the acts ensured there was something for everyone, leaving attendees talking long after the final bows were taken and rushing to book for the next night.

The Assembly Hall at Churcher's College served as the perfect backdrop for the festival's performances. A big thank you goes out to the college for their generous support, which helped create an unforgettable experience.

Beyond the applause, the festival had a deeper purpose: to raise funds for the Rosemary Foundation, a local hospice-at-home end-of-life care provider. We are thrilled to announce that the festival raised a remarkable sum of £1,516 a testament to the community's incredible generosity and commitment to this vital cause.

The festival wouldn't have been possible without the support of local businesses. A special thanks goes out to Velvet and Rose, a beloved ladies' clothing store, and The Half Moon, supplier of our bar essentials. Their contributions added a touch of local flair to the event.

The excitement is already building for next year's event, with plans firmly in motion. Mark your calendars, as the 2024 Petersfield Fringe Festival is set to run from Wednesday, August 28th, to Saturday, August 31st. With the resounding success of this year's festival, we anticipate even more spectacular performances.

The Petersfield Fringe Festival 2023 has left an indelible mark on the community, thanks to the dedication of the performers, the generosity of sponsors, and the unwavering support of Petersfield residents. As the curtains fall on this year's event, we eagerly await what promises to be an encore performance in 2024.

For now, we extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made the inaugural Petersfield Fringe Festival an extraordinary experience.
